The Precinct’s First Pre-Accelerator Program Revealed

The Precinct’s First Pre-Accelerator Program Revealed

Today marks the launch of StartClub_BNE, the first pre-accelerator program launched and led by The Precinct team. Located in the heart of Brisbane City, this six-week business initiative is tailored to support early-stage founders in developing, scaling, and nurturing their startup.

StartClub_BNE is expected to attract entrepreneurs, researchers, and students with big ideas across South East Queensland. The Precinct Program Manager, Holly Hudson, said that she is excited to see a wide range of startups come through the program.

“I can’t wait to see the talent Brisbane’s going to bring to The Precinct! I’ve already had some fantastic conversations with those in the innovation community and I’m expecting a pool of applications to come from SportsTech, SaaS, Agtech, Fintech, and Edtech sectors. And since Start Club BNE is not limited by the industry type, I think it’s going to create a really interesting cohort that will foster innovative thinking and potential collaboration.” – Program Manager, Holly Hudson

With only ten spots available, this competitive, industry-agnostic program welcomes founders at all stages, from ideation to post-ideation. Successful applicants will engage in bi-weekly workshops covering essential topics such as Customer Discovery, MVP Launch, Marketing, Capital Raising, and Pitching.

The program finishes with a pitch night at The Precinct that gives the ten selected startups the opportunity to showcase their ventures to investors and industry experts, receive valuable feedback, and potential funding opportunities.

Applications open: Monday 25 April
Application close: Friday 26 April at 5:00pm AEST

“One of the best feelings to see in an innovation space is the organic collaboration that is born in the strangest places like a kitchen, elevator or staircase. You could be talking about a problem you’re having and your neighbour knows exactly what to do or how to help out. That’s why people love coworking spaces.” – Community Manager, Natalie Bentley
