Sizztech, a leading company in applying artificial intelligence to urban growth modelling, is thrilled to announce the expansion of its team in 2024. The Queensland based startup is welcoming Alyne Marques Reis, a seasoned IT Project Manager and Business Analyst, to their Brisbane office. This addition follows the successful integration of two talented tech interns last year. This expansion is a clear demonstration of Sizztech’s commitment to fostering new talent and continuously driving innovation in the field of advanced AI applications.

Steve Hun, a second-year Computer Science student at the Queensland University of Technology (QUT), is one of the interns who joined Sizztech. His journey to Sizztech began with his proactive involvement in the Queensland AI Hub events, particularly the Queensland AI Summit. Steve shared his experience:

“[As] a second-year Computer Science student at QUT, always keen to try new things and put myself out there. This curiosity led me to volunteer at the Queensland AI Summit”.

“Volunteering at the Summit was a truly transformative experience for me. Being part of the team, I had the unique opportunity to engage closely with the AI industry’s inner workings. I interacted with a diverse group of professionals, ranging from tech leaders to innovators, which enriched my understanding of the field”.

“The highlight of my experience was listening to the speakers who shared invaluable insights into the latest AI trends and innovations. This exposure not only broadened my perspective but also played a pivotal role in securing a job opportunity at Sizztech.”

“The journey from a volunteer to a professional in the AI industry has been both enlightening and rewarding and I’m thankful for the opportunity.”

Sizztech’s continuous expansion is a testament to its commitment to investing in new talent and staying at the forefront of technological advancement. The company continues to support educational initiatives and events that foster professional growth and industry engagement.
