The Precinct is excited to announce a new initiative aimed at accelerating student entrepreneurship pathways, in line with our ongoing commitment to support startups and champion innovation in Queensland.

The Student Landing Pad Program will support student-led startups and founders who are creating technology-driven innovations across various sectors such as software development, artificial intelligence, machine learning, robotics, biotechnology, and clean energy.

Student entrepreneurs or student startup teams up to 4 people can apply to receive:

  • 6-months of free, drop-in hotdesking within The Precinct Landing Pad
  • Access to high-speed Wi-Fi and complimentary coffee
  • Access to meeting and collaborative spaces
  • Connection to a vibrant community of like-minded innovators
  • Invites to networking events and mentorship opportunities
  • Opportunities to engage and contribute to The Precinct community

Precinct Program Manager, Holly Hudson, said the goal of the program is to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world experience and help transform new ideas into reality by providing essential resources and support.

“We’re here to provide student entrepreneurs with the environment to immerse themselves in the startup ecosystem, where they’re surrounded by like-minded entrepreneurs and tech experts to apply their theoretical knowledge, share insights and collaborate”.

“Some of Queensland’s most successful startups, such as Tanda, were born from talented university students who came together to solve real-world challenges.”

“By connecting student entrepreneurs with experienced mentors, we aim to provide them with invaluable guidance and support on their journey. We know this support can help turn their innovative ideas into successful ventures, and we believe that providing this offering to students while they are still studying at university will complement their learning and accelerate their student-led ventures.”
